The RCAW presentation submission system will be open
December 12 – February 15. February 17 at 11:59 PM
No late submissions can be accepted after February 17 at 11:59 PM.
Abstract submissions will close on February 15, 2025. Be aware that this deadline includes mentor approval. Your faculty mentor must approve your submission by February 15. They will get an email after you submit.
Attention mentors and students: In accordance with our support of open access and sharing of knowledge, the RCAW program, including abstracts, will be published and available online.
Inventors and Innovators please be aware. These abstracts and titles will be published online, and as such, qualify as public disclosure of information, possibly affecting patent and copyright applications. Mentors are responsible for the material that is presented, and students must communicate with their mentors about possible patent and copyright
applications.
Important Points and Requirements
- Abstract Guidelines
- There is no set format for writing the abstract, as this is a universal application for many diverse major disciplines. Please see abstract examples that are available from the RCAW 2023 and 2024 Abstract Books.
- The character limit is 3020 with spaces, which is equivalent to 400 words.
- Do not include tables or figures.
- You MUST enter a mentor for your abstract.

- The Online Abstract Submission is a SmartSheet form. Please click here.
- You will have an opportunity to paste content into the Abstract field. This field will expand after answering the Community Engagement question.
- Students affiliated with the Water Resources Center (WRC) need to identify themselves by checking a box to the question that asks about WRC affiliation. Please read carefully.
