Graduate Council (GC)

The Graduate Council reviews, considers and recommends graduate academic policies and upon recommendation of the Graduate Curriculum Committee (GCC), graduate curriculum and degree programs. The Graduate Council is comprised of 24 elected voting members, 3 appointed members and 6 ex-officio members. The Graduate Council meets at least once a month during the fall and spring academic terms. All meetings are held at 3:00 PM unless noted otherwise.

Graduate Curriculum Committee (GCC)

The Graduate Curriculum Committee (GCC) reviews, considers, and makes recommendations to the Graduate Council on a variety of curriculum matters such as proposals for new and revised graduate courses, degree-related catalog changes and other curriculum related matters. The Faculty Manual describes the makeup and formal charge of the GCC.

The GCC meets twice per month from September – March with additional meetings scheduled as necessary. Materials submitted for consideration are done so through the online Curriculog portal.

Faculty are encouraged to meet with the staff in Academic Program Planning and Accreditation prior to beginning curriculum proposals to ensure familiarity with policies, procedures, and Curriculog.

Graduate Council Executive Committee (GCEC)

The Graduate Council Executive Committee (GCEC) meets to set the Graduate Council agenda, prepare draft policies for consideration by the Graduate Council, exercises delegated authority to consider and make decisions on urgent business matters of the Graduate Council during the summer months, and reviews and approves exceptions to policy such as transfer credit and time limits.  Complete membership and charge information is found in the Faculty Manual.

Graduate Program Directors & Coordinators (GPDC)

The Graduate Program Directors & Coordinators meeting is a non-voting gathering of graduate program directors and coordinators across campus.  Typically held monthly,
