Graduate Admissions Ambassadors and Graduate Administrative Assistants

Shellbi Chapman is currently pursuing a master’s in Business Administration degree. She is a proud member of the ECU track and field team where she is a sprint hurdler. Shellbi has successfully started an organization on campus called the Black Student Athlete Organization at ECU and currently serves as the Vice President. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies or baking cakes, brownies or cookies. Shellbi serves as a Graduate Admissions Ambassador in the Graduate School.

Amber Faircloth is currently a first-year graduate student, earning her M.S in Speech-Language Pathology. Amber earned her undergraduate degree at East Carolina University and is proud to call Pirate Nation home. Amber’s favorite part of her program is how knowledgeable the professors are and how they push her to ask question and continue her learning in the field. She enjoys being involved in the on-campus clinic and summer camps offered through East Carolina University’s Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic. When not in class or the clinic, Amber loves to drive down to the beach or water front, or read a good book. Amber serves as a Graduate Admissions Ambassador in the Graduate School.

Taylor Moncrief is currently a first-year student in the master’s of Industrial/Organizational Psychology student here at ECU. She aspires to work in human resources management–increasing workplace productivity while decreasing discrimination in organizations. When not working as a graduate assistant, Taylor enjoys going on walks, playing card games, and traveling with her close family and friends. Taylor serves as a Graduate Admissions Ambassador in the Graduate School.

Ivana Popovic is currently a first-year graduate student earning a Master of Music (MM) with a concentration in Vocal Pedagogy. She aspires to pursue a Doctorate of Musical Arts after her MM and eventually teach voice at the university level. Ivana loves the family-like atmosphere of her program at ECU, as it makes her feel comfortable in a place far away from her home state, Illinois. Aside from her love of music and school, Ivana enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with friends and family. Ivana serves as a Graduate Admissions Ambassador in the Graduate School.

Jared Wilmer is a first-year Master of Clinical Counseling student in the Department of Addictions and Rehabilitation Studies. He hopes to work with those living with mood disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings after earning his North Carolina licensure and plans to contribute to research for the purpose of improving Electroconvulsive Therapy treatment outcomes. In his free time, Jared enjoys creative writing, vocal performance, and mountain biking. He recently moved to North Carolina and is enjoying learning about southern idioms and culture. Jared serves as a Graduate Admissions Ambassador in the Graduate School.

Travis Moffitt is currently a second-year student in the Master’s of Music (MM) at ECU. Travis is also earning the Teaching in the Community College graduate certificate. He is looking forward to a Spring 2021 graduation. Travis has worked as a Graduate Administrative Assistant in the Graduate School for nearly two years assisting with the Three-Minute Thesis Competition, Research and Creative Achievement Week and the Graduate School’s orientation opportunities. Travis enjoys watching college football and visiting friends at other universities to watch games with them.
