Kathy has been an associate dean in the Graduate School since Fall 2015 and is primarily responsible for enrolled student services such as orientation, professional development, and student policies. She also has a large role in providing support to Graduate Program Directors as they lead ECU’s outstanding graduate programs. Kathy Cox has been an enthusiastic Pirate since 1996 when she joined the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders as a professor in the speech-language pathology program after finishing her MA and PhD at The Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes!) After years of helping great ECU students develop into speech-language pathologists and providing patient care, Kathy joined the Graduate School in an administrative role to have a broader impact on graduate education. Outside of ECU, you can find Kathy helping her three sons and husband enjoying a variety of activities including their Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, swimming and several sports.  Also, if there is a football game happening nearby or on TV, Kathy is probably watching it.  Go Pirates!
